ORAL HISTORY PROJECT (OHP)

 
     
 

Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, the Oral History Project main aim is  to record the history of Hindu community in Birmingham. We have identified about 60 elders from our community and conducted 40+ detailed interview, and recorded their experience and history. The project is also compiling the photographic history, ie we have taken a sample of old photos, and The history will be archived in Birmingham Central Library More details >>>

 
     
 

HINDU COMMUNITY CONSULTATION

 
     
 

Community Consultation project is funded by DCLG through CDF, Community Development Foundation. This short project gives Hindu Council a unique opportunity to consult the community on their views, values and aspirations and concerns. The project will have two main objectives - conduct an audit of affiliate organisations and conduct a brief community consultation.   The project will give every one a chance to record their opinions, views, concerns. Indian Community Development Network (ICDN)

 
     
 
Hindu Council has played key role in the establishment of the ICDN - Indian Community Development Network.
