Our aims and objectives

The HCB works with the affiliated organisations and community partners to deliver a number of activities and programmes designed to:

• Build capacity and develop the community
• Develop relationships with other faiths and public bodies
• Represent Hindu community at all levels with Council and other public institutions
• Improve intra and internal communications between the different Hindu groups 
• Support cohesion and interfaith work in the Faith Leaders Group
• Facilitate and support main cultural events
• Develop programmes and social activities for youth

Our objectives are to:

• Sustain the Hindu community as a vibrant, integrated and highly respected ethnic community
• Expound the Hindu ethos of cohesion and coexistence
• Unify, mobilise and invigorate the Hindus in Birmingham and Solihull area
• Ensure that Hindus play an active role in the diverse and cultural life of the region
• To facilitate the representation of the Hindu voice
