Volunteer opportunities

“I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.”

Rabindranath Tagore

Why the Hindu Community needs volunteers

The HCB aim to develop volunteerism within the community so that much needed resources and time within the community can be harnessed and utilised in an effective manner.

Giving your time to your community can benefit others and yourself in a number of ways.  Benefits of volunteering include:

  • Building your confidence
  • Making new friends
  • Having fun
  • Boosting your career options

By sharing new experiences with new people, you can learn new skills and also give others the confidence to face challenges in other areas of their lives.

It’s more than giving up your time. You can become a part of a community that can stay in touch long after your work is done. All types of skills and experience are required. Most of all, we need people who are committed to our cause.
