The Hindu Council of Birmingham (HCB) was established in 1986 to provide a unified voice for the Hindu communities within the Birmingham and Solihull area. The HCB is a vital link between the local councils and Hindu communities.
As an umbrella organisation, the HCB is the single, unified representation of all the Hindu community in Birmingham and Solihull.
The HCB’s aims to ensure the needs of the Hindu community are represented fairly therefore the council is run on a non-political and non-commercial basis.
To ensure peaceful relations with other faith communities, the HCB represents the Hindu community through diversity and interfaith activities within the Birmingham and Solihull area.
The HCB will assist and promote the activities of its member organisations but it does not have any control over the internal matters of any of its affiliated member establishments.
